Royal Netherlands Embassy Small Enterprises Project in Food Processing NOIC has collaborated with other organizations to train sponsored organizations to train sponsored youths in various vocations. NOIC has embarked on a special project in collaboration with some donors/bodies. These include the NOIC Technical Skills Acquisition Project (TSAP) in Warri, which commenced in February 1997. The project is being funded by NNPC/Chevron joint venture and is aimed at empowering youths in the oil mining are with relevant knowledge and skills to enable them secure gainful employment or become self-employed. Courses offered include Metal Fabrication/Welding, Secretarial/Computer Studies as well as the usual life skill courses that distinguish NOIC training from the others.
This is a special project executed by NOIC undergraduate under agreement with the Shell Development Company for the benefit or youths in SPDC’s areas of operation. This project is located in Bori, Khaila Local Government area of River State. Training commence here in the by SPDC.
The J.P Morgan Foundation USA has provided funds for income generating projects such as catering services, fashion design, business centres, fish farming and piggery in NOIC Lagos, Delta and Ekiti Programmes for sustainability.

Briefly what NOIC stands for is job creation and poverty alleviation. About 32,500 Nigerian citizens have been trained since inception of training activities many of such are now employers of labour. Graduate-trainees are encouraged to pull resources together and obtain a revolving loan from
NOIC National Loan revolving Scheme to enable them set up their own businesses & while those willing to be employed by established organization are also job-placed.
