Through leadership opportunities, professional development and education programs, networking events and more, Emerging Leaders provides numerous ways for young professionals to get involved in the organization and throughout the community. The Emerging Leaders Leadership Team is made up of a Program Chair and Program Vice Chair as well as Chairs and Vice Chairs of our three focus areas:Catalyst, Inclusion and Hub for Business – designed to amplify the professional development of our members while also focusing our community efforts and the Chamber's 2026 Vision Plan.

Members of the Emerging Leaders Leadership Team serve for one year and must re-apply the following year. Applications for the next leadership team will come out in August. One of the best ways to get plugged in is to join one of Emerging Leaders’ core groups to amplify your professional development opportunities.

Catalyst Group

The mission of the Catalyst Group is to cultivate awareness for Emerging Leaders members and encourage them to have a voice on issues and policies affecting greater Tampa Bay.

Inclusion Group

The mission of the Inclusion Group is to connect Emerging Leaders members with opportunities for community involvement in Greater Tampa Bay and provide educational opportunities about local community organizations.

The Inclusion Group works on:

  • Nonprofit Leadership Center Board Governance Series which gives members an exclusive rate to learn just what it takes to serve on a nonprofit board.
  • The Nonprofit Fair which connects Emerging Leaders to volunteer, on-site learning and board opportunities within community nonprofits.

Hub For Business Group

The mission of the Hub for Business Group is to grow leadership development opportunities that help enrich the lives of Emerging Leaders members. The Hub for Business Group works on the Mentor | Protégé Program. This exclusive mentoring program aims to develop long-term mutually beneficial relationships between experienced business leaders and motivated young professionals. Protégés will graduate from the program with an action plan to assist them in achieving personal success.

Engagement Committee

The purpose of the Emerging Leaders Engagement Committee is to offer member to member contact that enhances retention efforts. The committee organizes and attends Emerging Leaders events such as New Member Orientation, Group Meetings, Engage Series, Vision Series, and Empower Series. Additionally, the committee members conduct member check in calls, assist with event promotion, and member recruitment/retainment efforts. The Engagement Committee connects with members to tailor their experience to what each individual member wants to gain from the program. Committee members are a resource to the general Emerging Leaders membership.
